- NZSKATESPOTS aims to create the most complete directory of all skateable spots across the whole of Aotearoa NZ.
- We have the largest list of verified skate spots in New Zealand and that list only continues to grow.
- A platform that allows the discovery & sharing of skateparks, street spots & skate shop information.
- Because a complete list did not exist and it should.
- As a skater who road trips, having a skate spot directory and map guide is invaluable.
- Various existing resources are incomplete, outdated or difficult to navigate - we're building a modern, user-friendly solution that actually works for skaters on the go.
- Skate spots are generally local knowledge so unless your local or searching when travelling you won't know of them
- We want to take your local knowledge & make it available to the broader skateboarding community.

- A filterable directory of every skate spot in New Zealand, sortable by spot type & distance to your given location.
- An interactive map showing all locations, filterable by type, with links to Google Maps for directions from you mobile app on the go.
- A road trip planner, Limited to 25 stops, (This is a Google limitation.)
- Each spot includes tags, description & photos.
- We encourage the public to add spots, with tags, details & images.
- Or upload missing images to already listed spots.
- This is a live project that is being constantly improved and developed.
- It is free to use with no advertising, and, we do not sell your data. Ever.

- Browse through all the spots by Name listed from A to Z, or,
- Select and filter your obstacle types.
- Example: North Island + Street spots.
- Enter an address or town, (We do not track addresses entered.)
- Example: Tokoroa at 60 kilometers.
- Adjust the km travel range from 0 to 500 kilometers.
- Browse the newly updated list of skate spots that fit your filter request.
- You can easily select additional tags or remove selected tags,
- and change or reset your entered address.
- Go to the Road Trip Planner page.
- Enter a starting address.
- Enter a destination address.
- Select the obstacle types for the spots your after or select all.
- Click on, Calculate route and this will display the fastest route from the starting to destination points.
- Browse through the map, to visually see skate spots along your route.
- Click on a location, and click, Add as Stop.
- You may add up to 23 skate spots for your trip.
- You may reorganize the stop order manually, or,
- Click select optimize route, then reclick the calculate route, and Google will find the fastest route to hit all your spots.
- Directions and estimated travel times will display.
- Or, Click Share to Google Maps, and the app, if you have it installed, will load and you're on your way.
Plan Your Road Trip
- Do you know of a skate spot that isn't listed?
- Go to SPOT SUBMIT
- Search the address of the skate spot.
- Add a name and description for the spot.
- Click on the map to show exactly where the spot is.
- Select the obstacle tags that are appropriate for the spot.
- Add your images and click submit.
- We will review your submission and add it to the database.
Submit a Spot
- This website uses two basic analytics tools, Google Analytics and gnr counter, solely to understand general site usage patterns and improve the user experience.
- We do not track individual users, collect personal information or sell data to third parties.
- As a completely free resource for the New Zealand skateboarding community, our only goal is to provide comprehensive information about skate spots, skate parks and skate shops without any commercial interests.
- The minimal data collected through these services is used only for analytical purposes (like visitor counts and page views) to help us maintain and enhance this community service.
- We have no affiliation with any marketing or advertising companies that would profit from user information.
- Additionally, any advertising or product promotion that may appear on this site in the future is targeted at the general skateboarding population as a whole and never at individual users based on their browsing behavior or personal data.
- You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- NZSKATESPOTS does not claim ownership of any images displayed on this website.
- By uploading images, users confirm they have the necessary permissions and rights to share these images.

No... Skatepark experiences are deeply personal. A beginners perfect park is an experts boring layout and vice versa. They oversimplify and are unreliable due to subjectivity. Skill, experience and expectations create too much variance. We can all see from the pics if the park is great or horrible. If in doubt, go skate it and experience it, a day out skating is always a good day.
